A Magical Dingle Elopement

The Dingle Elopement Ceremony began with a rendition about how Teacher Madi and Chef Wesley’s love story began on a first date in New Orleans. They managed long distance for a while before making the move to be together.

Madi’s other love was Ireland. Having travelled to the wild coast of County Kerry with her friend years before, she dreamt she would one day get married in the blowing wind on a cliff overlooking the ocean.

When discussing plans for their Dingle elopement, she said – “If we can find a castle and some sheep along the way, that would be great!”

The intimate ceremony took place on rugged cliffs with a wonderful view of the wild Atlantic Ocean crashing below. They had a Celtic hand-fasting ceremony, shared their hand-written vows, exchanged wedding rings and shed tears of joy and love together. Completely immersed in nature, it felt as though we were on the edge of the world.

We visited Rahinane Castle where they wandered through the ruins and shared a bottle of champaign.

The green fields in Ireland are full of sheep and cows. A highlight for Madi was when she held a baby lamb in her wedding dress.

Madi and Wes shared their first dance on a beach all to themsleves. After exploring the whole peninsula they ended their magical day by hitting the town Dingle for pints of Guinness in a local pub and a delicious meal.

What Madi and Wesley said about their experience:

” I am completely blown away by the hard work and compassion that Shauna puts into her business and work ethic. She was so helpful with tips for planning, location suggestions and vendor help for our special day. Shauna is professional, creative and has a great eye for capturing the best moments in her photography. She is prompt, helpful and goes way above and beyond. Her photography is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone that is planning an elopement. She made our elopement so much easier and stress free for us as we traveled from the states. If you are looking for the best, Wild & Green Photography is it!”
